Votorantim Metais is a Brazilian firm controlled by local conglomerate Votorantim. It is involved in the production of zinc, electrolytic nickel, and aluminum in Latin America. Its local operations comprise seven mining and processing units and three metallurgical units in the states of São Paulo, Río de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Goiás, as well as offices in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo. Internationally, the company owns the Cajamarca zinc refinery in Peru, four zinc metallurgical units in the US and one in China. In Peru, it also controls Compañía Minera Milpo, engaged in the mining of copper, gold, silver, lead and zinc in Peru and Chile.
