Brazilian Construtora Norberto Odebrecht (CNO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Odebrecht S.A., provides engineering and construction services for the transport and logistics, energy, sanitation, urban development, mining, and public and corporate construction sectors. Odebrecht S.A. owns CNO through the non-operating holding company Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção S.A. The Rio de Janeiro-based company has provided construction services for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games. For the latter, the firm is working on revitalizing the city's port zone (Maravilha Port), as well as on the construction of Line 4 of the MetrôRio subway. Incorporated in 1954, CNO also took part in the construction of three sports arenas, Itaipava Fonte Nova (BA), Itaipava Pernambuco (PE) and the Corinthians Arena (SP), and in remodeling the existing Maracanã Stadium (RJ). In the energy sector, its projects exceed the 60,000MW-installed capacity, with 81 hydropower plants, 17 thermoelectric plants, 2 nuclear plants and dams, as well as around 5,700km of transmission lines.
