Description

McEwen Mining Inc. was formed as the result of a combination of US Gold Corp. and Minera Andes Inc. The company's principal assets consist of the San José silver-gold mine in Santa Cruz, Argentina (49% interest), the El Gallo 1 mine and El Gallo 2 project in Sinaloa, Mexico, the Gold Bar project in Nevada and the Los Azules copper project in San Juan, Argentina. The Toronto-based firm has a portfolio of exploration properties in Argentina's Santa Cruz province, surrounding the San José mine and Goldcorp's Cerro Negro project in addition to land packages in Nevada adjoining Barrick's Cortez mine and surrounding McEwen's El Gallo complex in Mexico.
