Description

Venezuela's central bank Banco Central de Venezuela is a public entity responsible for contributing, together with the country's executive branch, to the harmonization of monetary and fiscal policies, and encouraging the creation and maintenance of the monetary conditions necessary for the transition and structural change of the local economy. The institution is based on norms, policies and rules that prioritize criteria such as integration and formalization, and are developed through a consulting process with the bank's various units. Banco Central de Venezuela was created by law in 1939.
