Description:

GNB Sudameris is the financial arm of Colombia's Gilinski Group, one of the major players in the local banking industry. It started operations in 1920, but its current structure is the result of the merger between Banco Sudameris Colombia and Banco Tequendama, acquired in 2004 from Credicorp. Since then, the bank has increased its footprint through the acquisition of local companies Suma Valores (2008) and Nacional de Valores (2010). Later, in 2013, it obtained control over HSBC's operations in Paraguay and Peru, giving the bank international presence. A year later, it acquired HSBC Colombia to combine its operations under the GNB Sudameris brand. Based in Bogotá, GNB Sudameris is focused on commercial and personal banking operations.
