Yamana Gold Inc. is a Canadian-based intermediate gold producer with production, development stage and exploration properties throughout Latin America, including Brazil, Chile and Argentina, as well as Canada. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Toronto, Yamana operates its mines and projects in three distinct, semiautonomous divisions under common corporate oversight: northern operations, which includes, among other earlier stage projects, Canadian Malartic (Canada) ; southern operations, which includes Chapada and Jacobina (Brazil), El Peñón and Minera Florida (Chile) and Gualcamayo (Argentina); and Brio Gold (Brazil), which includes Pilar, Fazenda Brasileiro, C1 Santa Luz and Riacho dos Machados.The company also owns advanced stage projects, including the Cerro Moro gold-silver development project, the Agua Rica copper-gold-silver-molybdenum property and the Suyai gold-silver deposit, all located in Argentina. In 2016, Yamana expects to deliver gold production of 1.23Moz-1.31Moz of gold. Silver production is projected at between 6.9Moz and 7.2Moz of silver and copper production is projected at between 122Mlbs. and 125Mlbs.
