Equinor secures first Union oil cargo from the Bacalhau Field

Equinor was the winner of the spot auction held by PPSA (Pré-Sal Petróleo S.A) this Wednesday (01/14), securing the first shipment of the Union’s oil from the Bacalhau field. The volume acquired was 1 million barrels, with loading scheduled for the end of March 2026.
Five companies were qualified to participate in the auction. The bidding session took place at 11:00 a.m. and was followed in real time by representatives of the competing companies.
In March, new Bacalhau cargoes are expected to be offered to the market in a spot auction.
