IN BRIEF: Bolivia advances 'virtual' LNG project
Bolivia's state hydrocarbons company YPFB opened LNG regasification satellite stations at Coroico (pictured) and Desaguadero (photo below) in La Paz department as part of the country's "virtual" LNG project to supply areas that lack access to piped gas.
This week, a station is scheduled to be opened in Copacabana, to be followed by ones in Achacachi, Caranavi and Guanay, all in La Paz. In all, 22 stations are envisioned in a first phase, which also include Beni, Pando, Santa Cruz, Oruro and Potosí departments.
