Bongara Mineralization Extended

Sixteen holes totaling 4,912m have extended the mineralized system at the Bongara zinc project in northern Peru's Amazonas department to 2,000m by 1,000m, Denver-based Solitario Resources (TSE: SLR) announced. Results included 11m grading 8.08% zinc, 0.75% lead, 6.9m grading 16.6% zinc, 1.14% lead and 3.5m grading 20.9% zinc, 12.5% lead. Drilling to date is just under half of the current program. Melbourne-based Pasminco (ASX: PAS) can earn Vancouver-based Cominco's (NYSE: CLT) 65% interest in the project by fully funding this year's exploration program and spending some US$10mn on future exploration as part of a US$27.5mn commitment.
