Description:

Capex is an energy integrated company dedicated to exploring and exploiting hydrocarbons, as well as to electricity generation in Argentina. It produces oil and gas at the Agua del Cajón block, located in Neuquén, under a concession agreement ending in 2026. In 2017, the company was also awarded a contract for the exploration of unconventional reservoirs on tight sands and shales in Agua del Cajón and was chosen as the operator of La Yesera (74km2) and Loma Negra (280km2) blocks, in Río Negro Province. Part of the production from Agua del Cajón is used to operate Capex's 672MW thermal power plant. The company also operates a plant for the production of propane, butane and gasoline, a 6.3MW wind farm and a hydrogen production plant. Capex was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Buenos Aires.
