Description:
Chevron Argentina is engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Argentina. It has a strong acreage position in the prolific Neuquen basin, where it has been exploring and producing in the El Trapial concession since the '80s. Chevron Argentina owns 100% of the concession which spans 450 km2 with both conventional and Vaca Muerta shale potential. In the same area, the company holds a 50% non-operated stake in a joint venture operation with Argentine national oil company YPF, in order to develop the Loma Campana field. Both companies are also partners in the Narambuena area, which comprises 200km2 within the Chihuido de la Sierra Negra concession. Chevron's net daily production from the country in 2019 averaged 23,000 barrels of crude oil and 25 million cubic feet of natural gas.
