Description:

The Libra_P1 Consortium is responsible for developing the Libra offshore exploration and production block, located on Sector SS-AUP1 of Santos Basin. The consortium was awarded the production sharing contract in 2013. In November 2017, the consortium issued a Declaration of Commerciality for the block's northeastern region, now called Mero Field. That year, the Pioneiro de Libra FPSO began production, and commercial operations are expected to begin in 2021 (Mero 1) and 2022 (Mero 2). Libra_P1 is led by the block's operator Petrobras (40%), with interests held by Shell (20%), Total (20%), CNPC (10%), and CNOOC Limited (10%). Pré-Sal Petróleo is also part of the consortium as the contract manager.
