Eutelsat Americas (formerly Satmex) is a Mexican company that offers fixed satellite services to local and international broadcasting and telecom firms throughout the Americas, covering more than 90% of the region's population across more than 45 nations and territories. Its three satellites (EUTELSAT 113 West A, EUTELSAT 115 West A, and EUTELSAT 117 West A) provides direct-to home transmission; open air radio and television broadcasts; video, data and voice transmission; Internet access; and private services. Eutelsat Americas was acquired by French satellite operator Eutelsat Communications in 2014.
