Description:
Mexico's Minera Aurea S.A. de C.V. (Minera Aurea) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian mining company Alio Gold. Minera Aurea is the concession holder of the 4,238ha Ana Paula in Guerrero state, Mexico which is being developed by Alio Gold. Ana Paula is an open-pit, development-stage gold and silver project with a NI 43-101 compliant pre-feasibility study completed in 2017. The project's environmental impact study was approved by Mexican environmental authorities in 2017. In addition, Minera Aurea holds eleven concessions surrounding the Ana Paula project totaling 46,278ha that form the Aurea Norte property and two non-contiguous concessions totaling 4,293ha which form the Aurea Sur property. The company, formerly named Minera Ottawa, was acquired in 2004 by Alio Gold's predecessor Aurea Mining, Inc. Minera Aurea is headquartered in Hermosillo city, Sonora state.
