Nexa Resources Perú S.A.A., formerly Compañía Minera Milpo, is a mining company engaged in exploration, production and trading of zinc, copper, lead, gold, and silver. The run-off-mine ore reaches 10.6Mt. Its Cerro Lindo mining unit produces 156,000t/y of zinc concentrates. Through its subsidiaries, the company operates Pasco Mining Complex, comprised of El Porvenir and Atacocha mining units, which produces 63,000t/y of zinc concentrates. Its Chapi unit, located in Moquegua region, suspended operations in 2015. At Cajamarquilla, the company produces 310,000t/y of refined zinc. Nexa Resources Perú is currently developing two copper projects, Magistral and Pukaqaqa, and three polymetallic projects: Shalipayco, Florida Canyon, and Hilarion. The company is a subsidiary of Nexa Resources, owned by Brazilian conglomerate Votorantim S.A. It was founded in 1949.
