Description:

Brazilian natural gas transportation company Transportadora Brasileira Gasoducto Bolívia-Brasil (TBG) owns and operates the Brazilian portion of the Bolivia-Brazil natural gas pipeline, which runs for 2,593km on Brazilian territory through 136 municipalities in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. The pipeline, with installed capacity of 30Mm3/d, has 15 compression stations and 50 city-gates along its Brazilian extension. With a total of 3,150km counting 557km in Bolivia, the pipeline, which is expected to supply gas for 20 years, enters Brazil through Corumbá, in Mato Grosso do Sul state. The gas transported by TBG is delivered to seven local gas distribution companies that supply 1.2mn final consumers.Transportadora Brasileira Gasoducto Bolívia-Brasil was incorporated in 1997 and started operating in 1999.
