CSN Ups Steel Prices

Rio de Janeiro-based steel company CSN has increased prices by between 8% and 12%, due to higher electric power costs and dollar-indexed consumables for its products such as coal and metals for alloys, the company announced yesterday. CSN, Brazil's largest steelmaker, forewarned clients of the price increase, according to market relations director, Jose Marcos Treiger.
