LG expects US$1.1bn revenues for 2005

South Korean IT and electronics supplier LG expects revenues from its Brazilian operations to reach US$1.1bn this year, meaning 29.4% growth compared to 2004, local daily Valor Econômico reported. LG's Brazilian revenues have grown significantly over the last few years, from US$400mn in 2002 to US$630mn in 2003, and US$850mn last year. The company has invested US$200mn in Brazil since entering the market in 1995 and has a Brazilian workforce of 4,000 employees.
