Metrogas Readies US$57mn Bond Issue

Santiago-based natural gas distribution company Metrogas Chile has completed registration with Chile's securities & exchange commission, the SVS, of a US$57mn bond issue denominated in Chile's inflation adjusted currency, the UF. The four-tranch transaction is set at interest rates of between 6.75% and 7%. IM Trust Corredores de Bolsa is in charge of overseeing the process, while Banco de Chile will represent the bondholders. Metrogas will use the proceeds to restructure debt.
