Mexichem concludes Tubos acquisition, sale of Mexalit

Mexican chemical and petrochemical firm Mexichem's (BMV: MEXCHEM) PVC pipe subsidiary Amanco México has concluded the acquisition of Tubos Flexibles, a unit of Latin American copper, brass and alloys, aluminum and plastics products manufacturer Industrias Nacobre, the former said in a filing with the Mexico City bourse. Tubos Flexibles is located in Mexico and has four plants that produce and sell PVC, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), polyethylene and polypropylene tubes and connections. Mexichem also announced the sale of its styrene subsidiary Mexalit. Both transactions resulted in a net payout of US$13mn.
