Amerisur reveals 2016 capex
Amerisur Resources has set its capex for this year at US$62mn, of which US$9mn is for completion of Colombia-Ecuador oil pipeline Oleoducto Binacional Amerisur (OBA).
OBA is due online next month and will connect Amerisur's Platanillo block in Colombia with Ecuadoran state E&P operator Petroamazonas' Amazon pipeline network RODA, as part of Amerisur's efforts to reduce operating expenditures.
"The technical capacity of OBA is between 50,000 and 70,000b/d, hence additional transport capacity may become available in the future as the system is commissioned and upgrades to RODA are implemented," Amerisur said in its latest financial statements.
Wales-based Amerisur expects to end 2016 with production of 7,200b/d from Platanillo compared with average output of 4,437b/d in 2015.
Capex will also go to exploration work at blocks Coati and Putumayo-8 and the Jaguareté-1 well in Paraguay, expected to be spud this month.
