APA sets 2025 Suriname capex at US$200mn
Upstream operator APA's development capex for Suriname this year reaches US$200m, with US$100mn to be spent this quarter.
The Houston-based company provided the figures as part of its foruth quarter and full-year 2024 results.
The forecast investment will focus on long-lead items for offshore block 58, with no drilling planned, said APA, whose upstream capital spend for the country last year was US$58mn.
In October, APA and TotalEnergies, which holds an operating stake in block 58, announced a final investment decision for the acreage, which would be Suriname's first deepwater contributor of crude.
First oil is penciled in for 2028.
In an update, TotalEnergies announced the delivery of the CMHI FPSO hull for block 58's GranMorgu project.
