Business and mission-critical communication solutions provider Motorola Solutions appointed Elton Borgonovo as general manager for its Brazilian operations.
Borgonovo succeeds Paulo Cunha, who resigned from the position.
Borgonovo joined Motorola 18 years ago as an intern. The executive holds a degree in electrical engineering from the federal university of Santa Catarina.

IT security firm Red Hat announced Alejandro Raffaele as its head of telecommunications and media in Latin America.
Raffaele will be in charge of the management of operations and business relationships with leading telecommunications and data center services companies in the region.
He will report to Paulo Bonucci, VP for Latin America.

US mobile app provider Kony has hired the CTO of mobile technology at IBM, Bill Bodin, to be its new CTO, effective immediately.
With 30 years of industry experience, prior to joining Kony, Bodin created and deployed IBM's comprehensive mobile ecosystem. He was also the creator and thought leader for the mobile development accelerator framework IBM Catalyst.
