Authorities to review La Guaira hwy delays
Bnamericas Published: Tuesday, May 27, 2003
City council officials representing Venezuelan capital Caracas have established a technical committee to evaluate planned repairs along the Caracas-La Guaira highway and subsequent delays in the rehabilitation process, state news agency Venpres reported. Officials hope to lift legal barriers blocking the repair project, which urban transport fund Fontur installed in March during early bidding. Works calls for the construction of six traffic bridges and road paving and repairs along 40km of highway. Regional officials, along with Caracas' urban and land councils, will coordinate the technical committee.
