Avaya unit aims to grow 15% in fiscal year 2012

The Brazilian unit of enterprise communications, software and services provider Avaya expects to grow some 15% during its fiscal 2012, which began October 29, the company's Brazil president, Nelson Campelo, was quoted as saying by media outlet CRN. "We expect to achieve this goal through the development of three areas in the company - contact center solutions, corporate communications and data communications," Campelo said. Brazil is the fastest growing market for the company, the executive said, adding: "It's more than a strategic market" where Avaya mainly target large companies. The company is now planning to increase its presence with an expanded focus on SMEs. Avaya opened an office in capital Brasília and is now looking to expand with new units in Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul, expected for next year.
