Brazil's Temer to undergo coronary catheterization

Brazil's President Michel Temer (pictured) is expected to have heart surgery over the weekend.

Temer, 77, will undergo coronary catheterization after having received a diagnosis for partial coronary obstruction, reported O Globo newspaper, without revealing the source of the information.

A spokesperson for the president declined to comment when contacted by BNamericas on Friday morning.

Temer had to rush to a hospital in Brasília in October due to a sudden urological problem. Subsequently, he was transferred to a hospital in São Paulo city, from which he emerged three days later after undergoing prostate surgery.
