BPZ Q1 output down to 4,233b/d on shut-in well

BPZ Resources' (NYSE: BPZ) production in the first quarter from fields Corvina and Albacora in Peruvian offshore block Z-1 totaled 381,000b (4,233b/d) compared to 414,000b (4,500b/d) in 4Q10. In a statement, the company attributed the drop to the shut in of Albacora well A-14XD on January 24, but said it maintains a production guidance of 4,000b/d for this year. BPZ also reported seismic data processing for onshore blocks XXIII and XXII is due to be completed by mid-year, while work is underway to secure a permit for 3D seismic in Z-1.
