Brazil's Banco Máxima creates digital platform

Brazilian lender Banco Máxima created a digital platform to allow companies to offer financial services to clients, suppliers and employees.
Called BBNK, the platform will offer a service that is different from traditional banks and existing fintechs.
"Any company that wants to create an alternative source of revenue from any industry will be able to offer banking and financial services to its respective stakeholders," local business daily Valor reported BBNK CEO Yan Tironi as saying.
"The result of each of the services will be divided between BBNK and the company, negotiated case by case," he said.
Companies interested in using BBNK must open a digital account at Maxima.
Maxima invested 30mn reais (US$7.89mn) to create the platform and sees potential to create 600,000 accounts by the end of this year, said Tironi.
The bank is a niche player that is specialized in loans for the real estate sector.
