Cast Informática set to surpass US$42mn revenue for year

Brazilian IT solutions provider Cast Informática surpassed its original growth target set for the year, the company said in a statement. From January to early-November, the company surpassed 50% growth in sales volume compared to the same period in 2007, which in turn will represent full year 2008 revenue above 100mn reais (US$42mn), the company said. Cast Informática attributed the results to contracts signed with eight new clients from the private sector, which currently represent 20% of the company's business, as well as new contracts with the government. The firm also has clients in the healthcare, insurance, industry and financial market segments. Within the next three years, the company expects to hire another 500 employees for its factory in Araraquara, São Paulo state, in order to fulfill demand from possible contracts with foreign companies. Cast Informática works with systems and software development, ECM, BI, outsourcing, information security and BPM, among others.
