CFE transmission tender draws 13 firms, bids due April 28

Thirteen firms purchased bidding rules for the international tender launched by Mexican state power company CFE for transmission works in Baja California and Sonora states as of the final project meeting, according to federal procurement website Compranet. The tender calls for one 230kV transmission line running 109km. It also includes two substations with 230kV and 34.5kV capacities and five feeders. The companies that purchased bidding rules were: Grupo Tres R Termotécnica; ABB México; Abengoa México; Siemens Innovaciones; Prolec GE; Control y Montajes Industriales de México; Elecnor; Iberdrola Ingeniería Y Construcción (Iberinco) México; Proyectos y Construcciones Urisa; Sadeven; Industrias IEM; Isolux Ingeniería; and Proyectos y Desarrollos de Infraestructura. The bidding rules are available through April 22 with bids due on April 28. Works are scheduled to begin on June 19 and run 390 days. The tender number is 18164093-045-08.
