Claro Peru announced that, as of December 18, 2025, it officially activated its 5G network in the country and is accelerating its nationwide rollout, as part of its commitment to bring this next-generation technology to more Peruvians following the recent spectrum allocation by the government.
Currently, Claro Peru’s 5G network is already available in nearly 100 districts across the country’s main regions, including Lima, Arequipa, Chiclayo, Cusco, Piura, Ica and Chimbote, as well as the Constitutional Province of Callao. This progress allows a growing number of users with a 5G-compatible device, a Claro SIM card and who are within coverage areas to begin enjoying a superior connectivity experience.
5G technology represents a significant leap over previous generations by offering lower latency, greater transmission capacity and a more stable and efficient experience. This translates into improved experiences for everyday activities such as high-definition content consumption, online gaming and working on the go, as well as enabling new digital uses linked to productivity, education and digital services.
In line with its customer-centric approach, Claro Peru said that all users within 5G coverage areas will be able to access the technology, provided they have a compatible device. In this way, the company aims to allow more people to experience the benefits of 5G in their daily lives.
At the same time, Claro Peru is developing new offerings for users seeking to go further and take advantage of 5G according to specific connectivity needs. These initiatives include the gradual launch of differentiated packages and plans, enabling users to choose the option that best fits their lifestyle, digital consumption habits or technological requirements.
With the accelerated rollout of its 5G network, Claro Peru reaffirms its leadership in innovation and its commitment to developing a modern and robust telecommunications infrastructure, supporting the country’s digital transformation and helping improve Peruvians’ lives through increasingly powerful, accessible and reliable connectivity.
