Colombia's Ecopetrol to offer production assets

Colombia's state oil company Ecopetrol launched a process, dubbed Ronda Campos 2016, to offer its participation and interests in 20 hydrocarbon production assets to sector operators.

Ronda Campos 2016 is part of the NOC's 2015-20 strategy to create sustainable value and more efficient operation of its assets to increase shareholder profitability, the NOC said in a statement.

The assets are in the Catatumbo, Valle Medio del Magdalena, Valle Superior del Magdalena, Llanos and Putumayo regions, and have potential for enhanced oil recovery development and are near to logistics facilities, highlights Ecopetrol.

Reference terms will be published on June 27 and prequalification will run through August 26 with prequalifiers to be announced on September 16. Offers are due on September 30.

Contract signing is penciled in for October and a virtual data room will be open from June 27 through September 16.
