National oil company Petroecuador declared void the tender to determine the definitive route of an erosion-impacted section of the SOTE crude and Shushufindi-Quito fuel pipelines.

The NOC took the decision after none of the three individual consultants that were invited submitted offers.

Information of whether a new process would be launched was not disclosed.

The 497km SOTE pipeline transports Amazon crude to the Balao maritime terminal on the Pacific coast. Shushufindi-Quito stretches 308km.
