Emcartago, in intervention, terminated the process for the selection of a strategic ally to operate the energy service
Bogotá DC, October 21, 2019 . Before the presentation of a single offer in the process of selecting a strategic ally for the operation of the electric power service, the Municipal Companies of Cartago, in intervention, terminated the EMC-001/2019 process in accordance with what was indicated in Section 4.3 of the Specification.
The foregoing, in view of the fact that, at the time set in the schedule for the closing of the presentation of offers, there were not at least two proposals that would allow continuity to the stages of the process so that the award was concluded. Therefore, the only offer submitted was returned on the premises and Emcartago announced that it will continue the search for the strategic ally.
In view of this result, the Superintendence of Public Home Services indicates that, in order to give complete transparency to the process in the Emcartago solution scheme, a plurality of bidders were required to guarantee competence in the search for a strategic ally to provide the service of energy to the Carthaginian community and achieve greater resources for Emcartago.
