“When we assumed the management of evh, we knew of the great challenges to which we were going to be exposed, one of them was to reactivate the ivirizu hydroelectric project, we know that it was not easy but that with the support of all, contractors, supervision, inspection and the support of the energy ministry is that today we are here at this important milestone such as the diversion of the ivirizu river, we are talking about one of the largest projects in the country, we are talking about the largest hydroelectric plant in Bolivia, ”said Chavez.
The diversion of the Ivirizu River in the hydroelectric project plays a very important role in the construction of the Sehuencas dam because it will allow the passage of water with a return period of 10 years (flow of 467 m³ / s) and verified for 25 years ( flow rate of 570 m³ / s), guaranteeing the safety of the works in this area and allowing dry work under the highest quality standards, during the placement of roller compacted concrete (RCC) in the Sehuencas Dam.
The Ivirizu Hydroelectric Project includes the construction of the largest dam in the country and two Hydroelectric plants (Sehuencas and Juntas) of 290.2 MW of Maximum Power together.
