Expomin mining fair postponed to 2021
Chile’s Expomin mining fair will take place April 19-23, 2021, instead of November this year.
This is the second time the organizers have postponed the event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, it was planned for April.
“During November, we will have a virtual version of the mining event and the international congress” will be webcasted, Expomin manager Francisco Sotomayor said in a press release.
The international congress will focus on how the pandemic has impacted the industry.
For the 2021 mining fair, organizers will implement anti-contagion measures such as mandatory use of facemasks, social distancing protocols, and isolation rooms for visitors exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
