Ferbasa board appoints new president
Brazilian ferroalloy producer Ferbasa announced that new business director Rafael Machado Tibo will take over as president of the company.
The board decided to retain current president Geraldo de Oliveira Lopes as a member of the board, the company said in a statement.
The appointments will be made effective on April 29.
Based in Bahia state, Ferbasa holds 85% of Brazil's chromite reserves and is the largest producer of chrome ferroalloys in the Americas.
The company has installed chrome alloy capacity of 235,000t/y.
