Fertilizer deliveries flat in October

Brazilian fertilizer deliveries were flat in October, rising just 0.3% year-on-year to 3.41Mt, according to statistics from national fertilizer distributors association Anda. In the first 10 months of the year, deliveries climbed 19.1% to 23.9Mt, from 20.1Mt in the prior-year period. Domestic production of fertilizers totaled 8.18Mt in January-October, up 4.7% year-on-year from 7.81Mt. In October, production increased 3.0% to 933,983t. Meanwhile, fertilizer imports jumped 35% in the first 10 months to 16.9Mt and 10.1% in October to 2.01Mt. Exports of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer totaled 549,057t in the 10-month period, down 12.7% year-on-year, while October exports slumped 10.5% to 49,300t.
