Guyana oil refinery call draws 7 groups
Seven groups submitted proposals in the call by Guyana’s Ministry of Natural Resources to design, finance and build a 30,000b/d oil refinery.
The participants are Berbice Green Refining (ARC Energy-Polaris EPC-Barson SG), CH4-Incolab-Lindsayca-Sol Guyana, and DRL Engineering-Globe Engineering Supplies & Services.
Along with Freight N Cargo Logistics, Quanten and Spec Energy, information from the National Procurement and Tender Administration shows.
The request for proposals was issued in October.
The winner will be provided 30 acres at the mouth of the Berbice River in the vicinity of Crab Island for the refinery, construction of which is penciled in to begin in 2023 and will take two years to complete.
The project will benefit from fiscal incentives including a 10-year tax holiday, oil from the government's share of profit oil at market prices and access to the domestic market for the sale of refined products.
