Honduras President Lobo inaugurates South Korea-funded tech training center

Honduras President Porfirio Lobo inaugurated a technical training center in the northwestern city of San Pedro Sula, a government press release said (in Spanish). The center is run by Honduras's national professional training institute Infop and was funded with 80mn lempiras (US$4.2mn) from South Korea's international cooperation agency Koica. Lobo praised the new center which offers almost 300 different classes in areas including ICT, industrial installation, modern welding and advanced cooling systems, the report said. The new center is expected to train more than 6,000 Hondurans in its first graduating class.
