Honduras seeks hydrometric data consultants

Honduras is requesting expressions of interest for hydrology-specialized consulting services to help reinforce Tegucigalpa’s water supply system. 

Reinforcing La Concepción and Los Laureles dams is part of the program to strengthen the capital’s water services, financed by a loan from international development association AIF. 

Interested parties should be individuals and “capable of processing and revising unprocessed hydrometric data, analysis of extreme rainfalls, and river flows,” according to the tender documents, available here, published on procurement site Honducompras.

According to the timetable, expressions of interest should be with including a letter specifying the position and process reference number, along with a resume, and a copy of qualifications. 

Documents should be sent before October 27 to adquisicionesp170469@amdc.hn or via mail to the central district administration bureau in Tegucigalpa. 

Other objectives of the program are creating a municipal operator of water and sewage services, refurbishment works and increasing water production and the capacity of the distribution network, and developing tools to support management of basins and climate resistance.
