IN BRIEF: Goldcorp Mexico mine blockade lifted
Goldcorp restarted operations at its Peñasquito mine in Mexico following the removal of a blockade.
Work at the Zacatecas state operation was halted on October 3 as a result of a blockade by a trucking operator, which began in September.
The stoppage at Goldcorp's biggest Mexican mine is not expected to affect overall production and cost guidance for 2016 of 2.8-3.1Moz gold and all-in sustaining costs of US$850-925/oz. Goldcorp was Latin America's second biggest gold producer in Q2.
