Infocorp investing in R&D, talent to accelerate expansion

Uruguayan software developer Infocorp will invest US$3mn this year in research and development, processes to achieve rapid deployment of projects in any context and to acquire talent, according to the firm's head of Latin American sales, Héctor Deambrosi.
The company was acquired by Constellation Software (CSI) last year and "in the immediate term, that meant support for commercial strategies, projection into new markets, acceleration of investments in innovation as a driver of growth and access to new acquisitions that integrate and complement Infocorp's proposal," he told BNamericas.
Infocorp's CEO previously told BNamericas about expanding its business in Mexico and Argentina, as well as its plans for growth in English-speaking markets. Deambrosi also confirmed that they are adding territory managers in Argentina and Colombia and expanding the commercial team from Uruguay to other regions.
The company set a goal to reach the US before the end of 2021.
For 2021, Infocorp's expects to grow 25%, not as much as previously hoped, due to the uncertainty and problems caused by the pandemic.
"The indicators show that we're well on track to achieve that, in terms of both turnover and dividends," Deambrosi said.
