Within the framework of a US$100 million investment program that is taking shape in the country, Komatsu Chile inaugurated its new facilities in the Tarapaca Region, in the Los Cóndores Industrial Park in Alto Hospicio.

In a total area of 50,000 m2 of land, the built infrastructure exceeds 6,800 m2 in workshops, warehouses and offices. Its objective is to increase the company's attention capacity in the region, by providing the products and services necessary for the maintenance of the Komatsu equipment operating in the area, particularly in the local construction industry, and in mining lines, with a technical and professional team of 120 people.

The general manager of Komatsu Chile, Carlo Soto, said that "these dependencies are a new space to deliver our customers a better service, fundamental value of our company, which will allow for a better integration of all areas, such as Mining, Mining Contracts, Construction, Support and Services, Spare Parts, Rental, and General Services. "

During the ceremony, President & CEO Komatsu Holding South America, Yasushi Sakano, emphasized that "this work contributes to the development of the region and Alto Hospicio as an important industrial zone of northern Chile."
