Latin America hydrocarbons roundup

Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro announced that oil and mining minister and PDVSA president Eulogio del Pino will visit OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries in a "lighting tour" to promote an oil pricing and market stabilization proposal.

In its latest Commodity Markets Outlook, the World Bank lowered its 2016 forecast for crude prices to US$37/b.

Bolivia's YPFB declared void the second call for bids to further define a planned expansion of the country's LNG project after proposals did not meet requirements.

The bidders were Acura Flow, Euroestudios, Flargent, Sacmag de México and Sichuan Siwei Engineering. Information on whether a new process will be launched was not disclosed.

The Panama Canal Authority extended to February 16 the deadline to submit proposals to carry out a feasibility study for a planned LNG import terminal.
