Investing in a mining simulator can help a company reduce risks and increase safety and performance.
French company Acreos was the latest mining simulator provider company to enter new markets in Latin America. The company launch its business in 2012 in Colombia, and also has offices in Chile and Peru.
Simulators have software and hardware for controlling heavy machinery used in the mining, construction and hydrocarbons industries.
Another big player in this business is ThoroughTec. Their Cybermine training simulators are now in its fourth generation.
ThoroughTec entered into the lucrative and copper-rich Collahuasi region in Chile, while The University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Chile, bought a Fixed Facility Simulator, ideal for classrooms, for a Komatsu haul truck.
