Oi launches telemedicine service in partnership with Docway, a SulAmérica group company
This is a machine translation of Oi's press release
Rio de Janeiro, January 11, 2023 - In yet another initiative in the health sector, Oi announces a partnership with Docway, a company of the SulAmérica group, to offer telemedicine services across the country to Oi Fibra customers. With more than 4,000 registered doctors, the Digital Emergency Service is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in addition to having 25 medical specialties and telepsychology by appointment. The plan includes unlimited consultations for R$ 19.90 per month.
The new partnership complements Oi's portfolio in the telemedicine segment, which became a trend during the pandemic and consolidated itself as a practical and efficient model. In addition to the affordable price, convenience and not requiring travel costs, the service is a good alternative for patients who need constant monitoring. Sulamérica Docway is available as a value-added service (SVA).
“The partnership with SulAmérica Docway is part of our strategy to democratize access to healthcare in Brazil through technology solutions, in addition to reinforcing Oi's positioning as a platform for digital services”, explains Oi's VP of New Revenue , Rogerio Takayanagi.
“It is important to see companies of the magnitude of Oi participating in the digital transformation of health. Today, we have solutions that are a very effective channel for care. At Docway, for example, our video service is resolvable in 95% of cases. We were born not only to facilitate the doctor-patient relationship, but also to give individuals the means to better connect with their own health", says Fábio Tiepolo, CEO of Docway.
The focus on the health sector is part of Oi's initiative to create new revenue streams to generate value for customers. The company has an ongoing restructuring process, centered on fiber optic connectivity and digital services for residential, business and corporate users with a focus on the client-centric model.
The new Oi that emerges from this transformation process is a company focused on providing digital experiences such as streaming, network games, services related to the connected home, finance, health and solutions marketplace , transforming the Oi brand into a reference for a consumer platform in the country.
