Lima, November 21, 2022.- From the “Año Nuevo” Comprehensive Development Center for the Family (CEDIF), in Comas, where he participated in the million and a half home gas connection ceremony in Lima and Callao, on President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, announced today that Colombia will provide support to our country for the massification of natural gas.
"A few days ago I spoke with brother (Gustavo) Petro and he will give us a very important point of support so that, the most crowded Latin American country such as Colombia, we can share his experience of involving organizations, the people and all the authorities of this benefit”, he assured.
He argued that Peru's resources should be for Peruvians and that it is necessary to extend natural gas connections to the entire national territory.
"How can you not feel happy, happy to see a child sitting here having guaranteed food as a result of the massification of natural gas, the resources of Peru must be for Peruvians and this is done in a joint effort between the private entity and the State, but doing things well”, he stressed.
During his tour of the CEDIF "Año Nuevo" facilities, which serves more than 300 people, including children, adolescents and the elderly, the Head of State interacted with the children, visited the classrooms, the kitchen and the toilets that today Thanks to the natural gas connection, they have hot water.
After a brief dialogue with the little ones, one of the children dedicated a song to the president. The head of state also sang a theme for minors. The same reception was given to the president by the elderly attended by the CEDIF “Año Nuevo”, in charge of INABIF.
President Castillo was accompanied in this activity by the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Alejandro Salas; the Minister of Energy and Mines, Alessandra Herrera, and the director of INABIF, Hernán Yaipén.
