Primera Energy spuds WD-4 well

Primera Energy Resources (TSX-V: PTT) has spud the first of at least two planned sidetrack redrill wells to be drilled this quarter on block WD-4 onshore Trinidad. Planned well depth is 5,300ft (1,615m) to recover stranded reserves from the upper and lower Forest formations, which were producing in the original PS 131 well that went off production at a rate of 60b/d, the company said in a statement. The first well is expected to encounter some 270ft of net pay. Drilling will take around 15 days. Primera produces some 275b/d from a lease operatorship in South Central Trinidad, and has a 16.2% entitlement to the Cory Moruga block.
