Revamp of Dominican Rep power grid platform advancing

Actions to overhaul the monitoring platform of the Dominican Republic’s power grid are progressing with the launch of a new bidding process.

The Caribbean nation’s state power transmission company Eted issued a call to strengthen the energy control center’s real-time management of data and information.

The winner will design and implement a system which will connect with other systems and processes, such as Eted’s Scada system.

Inquiries for the 12-month contract will be accepted through February 10 and offers are due March 8, according to procurement information.

In recent weeks, the state operator opened a tender to put in place a system for the real-time evaluation of the grid’s generation units.
